This is a huge milestone. We are now entering into the second developmental trimester. This week you have developed reflexes. Your fingers can open and close, your toes can curl and your eye muscles can clench. You are now over 2” long and about the size of a lime. Mommy actually juiced some limes last night while cooking dinner...wow that is so tiny.
Daddy and I are very proud of our little limes. Last night we started reading some books on raising twins. It sounds like we are going to be VERY busy once you get here. Daddy is a little worried about that. He loves to play golf and everyone keeps telling him how he is never going to play again after you get here. But we all know that isn’t true. The truth is that when you get here, daddy isn’t going to WANT to play golf. Because as much as he loves golf, he is going to love you so much more! He daydreams about taking you out of the golf course one day...combining his favorite things in the world! I think you will probably be holding clubs before you can even walk.
Honey gave you some new books yesterday. Daddy says he is going to read to you from them every night. One was “My First Bible” and the other was “My First Book of Prayers”. We pray that you will love hearing these stories and fall in love with the author one day and give your life to Him.
Aunt Na-Na (that is what Rena’s niece and nephews call her....I think the twins will love calling her this too) is feeling good. Her boys are out of school for the summer and I think they are really enjoying it. She told me that the boys talk to you every day. They tell you that they want to teach you to play baseball. Doesn’t that sound fun? Your BB loves baseball too! I can see you now playing baseball with Luke, Logan and BB.
On Friday we will go see Dr. Marsh again. I don’t think we will get to do an ultrasound since we had one on 5/28 :( Mommy loves ultrasounds and getting to see you. But we will check your heartbeats and just make sure you are doing everything you are supposed to. Now you listen to Dr. Marsh and do exactly what she says. Don’t go pulling any more tricks. Just keep growing inside Aunt Na-Na and be nice to her. It is getting really hot outside so go easy on her. She is an angel for taking care of you for mommy. You are going to love her so much!
